Old Hill Tomme cheese is made in the Central Himalayan region at an altitude of 6500 feet above sea level. This is an alpine cheese originally made in the French and Swiss Alps. We have a very similar environment in the hills where we are located. All our products are vegetarian and free from preservatives and any artificial ingredients. When you purchase Old Hill cheese you can be assured of getting 100% cheese and nothing else, the rich texture and taste stands apart from anything else. All of our cheeses are handcrafted using age-old European techniques and the wheels of Tomme cheese are aged in a controlled environment for a duration of 5-8 months which develops its unique earthy and nutty notes. This cheese is slightly hard with a yellow appearance and is delicious to be consumed as is. It can also be grated onto any dish where a deep taste of cheese is required. Our cheesemakers' recommendation is to pair this cheese with either red or white wines. We hope you enjoy our Tomme as much as we enjoy making it for you!

Old Hill is a social enterprise based out of rural Kumaon at an altitude of 6500 feet above sea level. We procure the best quality milk from Kumaoni households and lovingly make this into different types of cheese. Our high quality cheese is made without preservatives, emulsifiers or anything artificial (all our products are vegetarian). Our gourmet cheeses stand apart in their quality. Our master cheese maker has trained in Europe and has adopted age old techniques which are used to make cheese with no machines involved. We operate under a fair price model which ensures a sustainable future for our farmer suppliers. Old Hill only engages women from surrounding villages and the production unit is managed by them.
