Old Hill gouda is made in the Central Himalayan region at an altitude of 6500 feet above sea level. All our products are vegetarian and free from preservatives and any artificial ingredients. When you purchase Old Hill cheese you can be assured of getting 100% cheese and nothing else, the rich texture and taste stands apart from anything else. All of our cheeses are handcrafted using age-old European techniques and the wheels of gouda cheese are aged in a controlled environment for a duration of 2-3 months. Our gourmet cheeses are stronger in taste then mass-produced products and are perfect for the aficionado. Gouda is a cheese that originated from the Netherlands is now made across the globe in various different ways. The cheese is best had as is like the Dutch people do for breakfast with some toast and fruits. It is an extremely nutritious start for the day especially for those leading an active lifestyle. Gouda can also be grated and used in different dishes as it can melt quite well when younger. Medium to older Goudas melts less in comparison. Our cheesemakers recommendation is to use this cheese at the very end of making your dish as heating the cheese can considerably reduce the flavour.
