Kimchi Fried Rice

This kimchi fried rice is So simple and tasty. It comes together in 5 minutes with Struggle Butt's amazing handcrafted Kimchi & cooked rice. 

Serves 1 

1 cup cooked white rice 
1/3 cup struggle butt korean kimchi, chopped 
2 tbsp kimchi juice 
2 garlic cloves chopped 
1 spring onion chopped 
1 tbsp light soy sauce 
1/2 tsp gochujang paste 
1 tsp toasted sesame oil 
1 egg, fried 
1 tbsp black and white sesame seeds, toasted 
Pinch of salt 


  1. In a wok add 1 tbsp oil, chopped garlic and chopped kimchi. Sauté for 2 min.
  2. Add the rice and cook everything together for 3-4 min. In a bowl add the soy, sesame oil, kimchi juice and gochujang paste. Add this to the rice and sauté on high heat for 3-4 min.
  3. Add half the spring onions (white plus green parts) and the salt. Mix well and place in a bowl. Fry the egg and put it on top of the rice. Garnish with the toasted seeds and the remaining bit of spring onion (green part only).
